CBD For AIDS
In 2005, a survey that was published in the Journal of Pain and Symptom Management showed that CBD is highly effective in the management of AIDS symptoms. The survey was conducted on 523 patients that were using CBD to manage AIDS symptoms. 97% of them reported improvements in their appetite. A double-blind study was conducted in 2007 with an aim of establishing the effects of CBD on AIDS patients. It established that CBD increases caloric intake. This effect was depicted by an increase in the eating occasions’ frequency. Consequently, when patients use CBD, they experience a significant body weight increase. Other studies have shown that CBD has the potential to relieve AIDS-related inflammation, neuropathic pain, and spread of the human immunodeficiency virus. Some researchers also suggest that continued use of cannabis leads to generalized viral load attenuation as well as tissue inflammation in the simian immunodeficiency virus.
